Emmanuel Qamara grew up in the northern Serengeti, where a school trip first brought him close to wildlife and sparked his passion for guiding. Though his community once doubted his aspirations, his perseverance and achievements have turned that doubt into pride. Today, he guides proudly with Sauti Africa Safaris, inspiring guests and mentoring future generations.

With over 8 years of guiding experience and 10 years in tourism, Qamara is fluent in Iraqi, Maa, Swahili, and English. His expertise spans birding, cultural safaris, wildlife sighting, and photography, and his talents have been recognized with the Best Wildlife Photographer Award in 2022 and a Top Three Finest Guide Award in 2025.

For Qamara, guiding is about people. He believes safaris are most powerful when guests actively engage with Tanzania’s culture, land, and wildlife.
